Applies to nodules that are equal to or greater than 3mm. Such nodules will be characterized or labeled and have contours.

Implementation of the roi tag assumes that there will be only ONE (1, uno, ein, etc) contour
(or whatever term you personally use to describe the boundary of a single object) included in the roi.
Use as many rois as necessary to describe the complex drawing, but only include the description
of one closed object per roi.
Additionally the implementation here assumes that the roi is closed, i.e. the beginning voxel
is repeated as the ending voxel!!!
The slice location (z coordinate) would be the third value from the tuple contained in DICOM tag 0020,0032. The values
in the tuple are demarcated by the backslash character.
image SOP UID from DICOM file header; also used as file name in
Mallinkrodt implementation of SimpleStorage
The value of TRUE for inclusion indicates that the mask of logical "ones" for this object
should be logically "OR"ed with the preexisting mask of logical "ones" for this image plane
The value of FALSE for inclusion indicates "exclusion", i.e. the logical complement of mask of
ones for this object should be logically "AND"ed with the preexisting mask of logical ones.
