To generate the JSON file:
- First access the CPTAC Clinical Data API: desired CPTAC collection page (for e.g. https://clinicalapi-cptacwiki.esacinccancerimagingarchive.comnet/apidisplay/tciaPublic/CPTAC-CCRCC)
- Click on the blue download button next to “Clinical Data API…) data type, in the Data Access Box Select “Get clinical data by Tumor Code” from the left navigation Panel
- For Chrome Browser:
- Paste the URL into a new browser.
- Right-click anywhere in the in the middle of the page and select “Save as…”
- Save the page as a JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) file.
- Select and copy the URL from the “Request URL” box. Click 3 times on the URL to highlight the entire string; then immediately right click and select copy)
- For Firefox browser:
- Paste the URL into a new browser.
- Click on the
- “Raw Data tab” to view the raw data; then click on “Save” to save the page as a JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) file.

- Open a blank excel sheet
- From the main menu, select “Data”
- From the “Get Data” drop down menu, select “From File”, then “From JSON”
