To generate the JSON file:

  • First access the CPTAC Clinical Data API: desired CPTAC collection page (for e.g. https://clinicalapi-cptacwiki.esacinccancerimagingarchive.comnet/apidisplay/tciaPublic/CPTAC-CCRCC)
  • Click on the blue download button next to “Clinical Data API…) data type, in the Data Access Box        Select “Get clinical data by Tumor Code” from the left navigation Panel

  • For Chrome Browser:
    • Paste the URL into a new browser.
    • Right-click anywhere in the in the middle of the page and select “Save as…
    • Save the page as a JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) file.
    From the “tumor_code” drop down menu, select the desired tumor type. Click on “Try” to generate the JSON code

  • Select and copy the URL from the “Request URL” box. Click 3 times on the URL to highlight the entire string; then immediately right click and select copy)

  • For Firefox browser:
    • Paste the URL into a new browser.
    • Click on the
    3 vertical dots in the upper right corner of the browser; select “More tools”, then “Save page as”Save as a JSON in your file directory
    • Raw Data tab” to view the raw data; then click on “Save” to save the page as a JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) file.
