This collection is a set of head and neck cancer patients each of whom has had multiple ' multiple positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT FDG scans – before ) 18F-FDG scans–before and after therapy – and with therapy–with follow up scans where clinically indicated.  The  The data was provided to help facilitate research activities of the National Cancer Institute's (NCI's) Quantitative Imaging Network (QIN).

About the NCI Quantitative Imaging Network

The mission of the Quantitative Imaging Network ( QIN ) is to improve the role of quantitative imaging for clinical decision making in oncology by the development developing and validation of validating data acquisition, analysis methods, and tools to tailor treatment to for individual patients, and to predict or monitor the response to drug or radiation therapy.
